Change is the door of new start…

Human beings are extremely lazy. We love comfort. And comfort come from known, from the things we know. Unknown brings fear, insecurity and frustration. We inherently dislike change.

I too being a humble human being was happy in my hole with my family. I was Mr. Bilbo Baggins of Shire, very much happy there and strictly not looking for an adventure. The only thing I wanted from my life was financial security before getting married.

And what does your one want makes, you do? It made me leave my home, come into a strange city all alone, and start living there. There was no mom, who will wake you up every morning, no dad who will monitor your home coming timings.

There were plenty of responsibilities. I had to arrange for food on my own. I had to take care of my health, as I was afraid there won’t be anyone to care for me when I fall sick. I used to shop for food, clothing and groceries and better shelter or roommates. I started struggling for everything which, in my previous life style was available to me without any demand. Change became constant companion of my life. My tiffinwalas changed my food on their whims. My land lady used to change my room partners without prior intimation. As new employee, my work profile changed a lot. Needless to say I was very frustrated.

Due to the constant change, I met lots of people. The new people, who were never, part of my earliar life. And these people became my guiding stars in new life. I learnt new hobbies, read so many books that I had missed earliar. My roommates belonged to different horizons and every one added a color of their own in my life.

And this phase gave, me most important lesson of my life. Changes help you grow. Changes help you start a new life. Changes make you more responsible. Changes help you discover many dimensions of your personality which were earliar unknown to you. Changes make you a strong person.

The new start of my life in unknown city made me the strong willed person I am today. It taught the importance of Food, clothing and housing in my life. It taught me the value of family and friends in my life. It gave me the courage to take the risks, meet the new people and learn from my mistakes. It helped me to grow above my doubts, hesitations and guilt’s. The new start taught me to survive and to become better person. And as a result, I am no fit to face any new challenges in my life. It opened a door of a new life for me.

Happiness is in the finding joy within

Everyone wants to be happy. As a child, my idea of happiness was to get to eat ice cream every single day. In my teenage days, I was happy whenever I got more marks than my friends. In college, I carved for attention of the “One”. As soon as I started working, it was on getting more and more highly paid job.

Our idea of being happy thus changes with time. I am now married, well settled in Job, my “targets” for being happy include buying new house, jewellery or car or getting a promotion. But are these ideas of happiness constant?

With constant analysis, I found no, these so called Targets of happiness are very short lived and variable. They are accomplished as soon as we get them. For example, after owning a Flat, a new apartment won’t bring that much of joy or thrill which I got while buying the first one. Thus these things don’t make us happy every single day of our life. They merely add a feather to our life style or simply make our life easier.

After lots of observation I found that the best way to be always happy is to stop searching for it, because our source of happiness lies within us. As “Beauty is in eye of the beholder”, “Happiness is in the mind of the seeker”. Joy is not the state of our Physical, monetary or material well being but it is actually a state of our mental well being.

If you look forward to a simple morning tea with the person you love, then it is the real cause of your happiness, as your heart seeks for it.  If you carve for watching a movie again and again or playing a sport or developing a hobby, it is the source of your Joy. Planting the flowers and watching them grow and survive, thrill me more than owning a piece of jewellery, every single bloom, brings more smiles on my face than my every ride on my new car (And I am not discrediting the memory of the First ride!!!).

Though the idea of Joy, vary from person to person, most of the human beings are happier in the basic things. People are happy when they meet friends and share Coke and Pizza with them, rather than eating out alone. And these sources of happiness are actually constant. They never deplete or the joy of having them never deplete. They get converted into our most sacred memories, which we would like to remember forever.

Thus next time if we feel that we are somehow unhappy, let’s analyse the source of happiness we are seeking. If it is actually short lived, then our regret for not having them is actually foolish.  And if it is actually that joy which is within us, we should strive for it as it will live with us forever.

I hold the time, Spent with you

Dear Love,

Getting married to you was my biggest dream come true. I always wanted to be your bride. This was the dream I cherished and nurtured on the possibility of being with you every moment of the day. And at last it came true.

We got married and I started relishing our moments together. Our move into new city, freed us from family responsibilities and gave us opportunity of behaving like love birds. We moved into a rented home and started our life in the new city together.

But something was missing; there was a dark hole in the bliss. The love birds carved for the Love nest. The Love nest, where there is no burden of living in someone else’s home. The place where we could always find our Love corners without justifying about it to anyone else. We lacked a relationship with our rented home. I could not accept that I cannot make any changes at the place I live. I wanted to create a heaven for you, and permissions from house owners stopped me from it. And I hated this helplessness.

And you my Love, like always, understood my unspoken words. May be you were also yearning for a place, which we could call “Our Home” and you made it sure I got this one. And you made it possible with housing.com

Though we got it on Loan, but still it is our “Home”, the place where we can feel morning sunshine, and enjoy a cup of tea together. Our abode, where we can always dance and sing together, away from prying eyes of others -   The companion, which will grow old with us.  The place, which will stay with us, without worrying about when we have to vacate it.  The heaven which we customized as per our need and didn’t ask anyone for permission about it. My home where you feel, I am safe even without you- Our love nest which we will leave for our children. Though we will pay the EMIS, but we got bliss together in our home

Love, you gave me my Home and my yearning for relationship with the place I live ended. .  I feel Safe that I am living in my home and nobody can question my decision about it. I enjoy the privacy we get and feel happy that our children will always live in their home. Whether you are at home or not, your presence is felt in every wall of my home, and my love I can feel you smiling with meAll the time I spent at our home, is   actually the time I spent with you. And I want to hold it forever.

May this three some stays forever.

Your’s only,

Bhavna
